Our Story

Two Friends. One Simple Idea.

ELDO was born from a love of great food, great wine, and great company.

The Beginning

A Reflection of Our Life’s Greatest Hits

ELDO was created by two friends — Angelo Heropoulos and John Keller — who had a very simple idea: “Let’s create a space and a place that we would want to go to.”

“Let’s serve our favorite dishes… whether it’s the finest Wagyu steaks, or a 1lb burger… let’s create a menu that we can all enjoy. Let’s use the best ingredients and sell the best wines in the industry at prices that are always fair and approachable.”

“Let’s build our restaurants in a neighborhood community where we can all enjoy each other’s company.”

Our Philosophy

Elevated Comfort, Not a Steakhouse

While guests assume ELDO is a traditional steakhouse because of its “chophouse” name, the concept is better described as “elevated comfort.” The menu is a mix of everything from crispy nigiri bites and lobster rolls to Wagyu filets and the show-stopping $250 Ranch Platter.

ELDO is an extension of The Hero Ranch Kitchen, Flowers and Dos Burros — the Saratoga restaurant group Angelo and John built over many years. If it’s good and people want it, we keep it consistent.

What Drives Us

Approachable Pricing

$17 Caymus. $11 Rombauer. We dare you to find prices like these somewhere else. Great wine shouldn’t break the bank.
